Granite Transformations commenced in Perth in 1996 and through rapid expansion has grown to be the world’s largest specialist kitchen renovation network with two hundred showrooms and branches throughout Australia, USA, Canada, United Kingdom and New Zealand.
Slimstone Systems is an offshoot of the Granite Transformations brand and has been evolving as a company since 2006 when Craig & Belinda Robertson first purchased the Granite Transformations franchise for the Busselton area.

Over the past 12 years, the company has expanded into Bunbury and the surrounding areas, where the main showroom is now located on Spencer Street. Bunbury has a much larger population than Busselton and Margaret River so it now possible to service many more clients as we now cover the full South West region of WA.
Bathrooms
Bathroom installations were the key reason for purchasing the original franchise with Granite Transformations. Craig was a wall and floor tiler and recognised the potential for grout-free surfaces to overlay existing tiles in bathrooms.
Over the past 12 years we have developed a reputation as the leading commercial bathroom re-surfacing company in WA.
We have completed over 250 commercial bathroom refurbishments in the South West of WA alone, with another 150 apartments at various stages of planning and approvals.
Slimstone Systems have been responsible for the creation of many systems, inventions and devices to enable the successful installation of flexible stone slabs into bathrooms. We personally hold three patents on inventions and one patent on a system. It is our intention to pass this knowledge and experience on to others in our field, once all aspects of the training programs and systems are in place.
We believe that we are on the edge of what will become the future of bathrooms worldwide.
It has always seemed incredible to us that in this day and age people are still cleaning grout and mould in showers. Our clients reinforce to us on a daily basis that we are involved in the most exciting development in bathrooms ever.
Kitchens
We employ four full-time cabinet makers as part of our team. Over the years, we have evolved our team to include cabinet makers as well as tilers due to the demand in re-surfacing existing laminate benchtops and tile splashbacks. In most cases, our customers will request we replace their kitchen cabinets whilst onsite installing their benchtops.
We tend to focus more on the stone benchtop side of kitchens and door replacement, rather than manufacturing new kitchens, as there are plenty of cabinet makers out there who compete for this work. We work with many cabinet makers and are happy to provide tops for any new customer.
Over the past six or seven years, flat-pack kitchens have become extremely popular due to their rise in quality and adaptable sizing. Home Improvement Centre in Margaret River has led the way in service and design, and we often work with them when supplying tops for owners and builders. We have created a display in their store displaying a kitchen and a bathroom for clients to view if they can’t make it up to our Bunbury store. People can also find a display at The Decorator Centre next to Bunnings in Margaret River. We have had a working relationship with The Decorator Centre for over 17 years, as they are the one-stop shop for all home finishings.
